How long does COVID shortness of breath last?

COVID-19 can seriously affect the respiratory system. Many patients suffer from lung injury in the acute phase, which causes shortness of breath and coughing. This may be due to a combination of the body's exaggerated immune system response to the virus and blood clots that block oxygen intake to the lungs. Fortunately, symptoms are usually short-lived. Patients with Long COVID will have many indeterminate symptoms, such as fatigue, poor concentration,  long covid brain fog  and other symptoms, which may become Long symptoms that affect quality of life. In this case, the shortness of breath may be related to disturbances in blood flow to the brain or to problems related to the autonomic nervous system. What does shortness of breath feel like? Shortness of breath, medically known as dyspnea, is often described as air hunger, difficulty breathing, or a feeling of choking. Every COVID-19 patient experiences breathlessness in a slightly different way. For some, it's a mild symptom...

Brain Fog and Neurovascular Coupling Disorder

Mental fatigue after a TBI often develops due to disturbances in the way brain cells receive the resources they need to function. This mechanism, called neurovascular coupling (NVC), involves a network of blood vessels that deliver oxygen and nutrients to specific areas of the brain as needed. When the affected brain area does not receive the information it needs to complete all tasks, the brain will try to find alternative ways to complete those tasks less efficiently. Inevitably, as the brain continues to work harder, brain fog can make you tired easily, just like overworked muscles become fatigued. One area that can lead to mental fatigue if it's dysfunctional is the basal ganglia, which coordinates which areas of the brain are responsible for which tasks. If the basal ganglia are not fully functional due to NVC dysfunction, the brain is essentially functioning without a "manager." This can tire your  post covid brain fog  out quickly, even if you don't feel like...
